1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using PDF Aligner, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Service Description

PDF Aligner is a web-based tool that processes paired PDF documents through AI-powered OCR and sentence alignment. The service extracts text from uploaded documents and produces bilingual aligned sentence pairs.

3. Accounts

  • You must provide a valid email address and maintain its accuracy.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and API keys.
  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • One person or entity may not maintain more than one free account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload documents you do not have the right to process.
  • Use the service for any illegal purpose.
  • Attempt to circumvent usage limits or rate limiting.
  • Share API keys or account access with unauthorized parties.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the service.

5. Subscription and Billing

  • Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe. You can cancel at any time.
  • Credits do not roll over between billing periods unless otherwise stated.
  • Add-on credit packs do not expire as long as your account is active.
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

6. Content and Intellectual Property

  • You retain all rights to documents you upload and alignment results generated.
  • We claim no ownership over your content.
  • You grant us a limited license to process your documents as necessary to provide the service.

7. AI Processing Disclaimer

Alignment results are generated by AI models and may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing and validating all output. BTB Translations, LLC does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or quality of AI-generated alignments.

8. Service Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications at any time. We are not liable for service interruptions.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BTB Translations, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.

10. Termination

  • You may delete your account at any time from Account Settings.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
  • Upon termination, your data will be deleted after a 30-day grace period.

11. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
