  • Account data: Email address and hashed password when you register.
  • Usage data: Pages processed, models used, credit consumption, and timestamps.
  • Uploaded documents: PDF files you submit for alignment processing.
  • Processing results: Aligned sentence pairs generated from your documents.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser user agent, and consent records.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and operate the PDF alignment service.
  • To process payments and manage your subscription.
  • To enforce usage limits and prevent abuse.
  • To improve our service through aggregated, anonymized analytics.

4. Document Processing

Uploaded PDF files are processed by third-party LLM providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google) to perform OCR and sentence alignment. Your document content is sent to these providers solely for processing and is subject to their respective data processing agreements.

PDF files are deleted immediately after processing is complete. Only the extracted text pairs are retained in your account.

5. Data Retention

  • PDF files: Deleted immediately after processing.
  • Alignment results: Retained until you delete them or close your account.
  • Account data: Retained while your account is active.
  • Consent records: Retained for legal compliance even after account deletion.

6. Legal Basis (GDPR)

  • Contract: Processing necessary to provide the service you signed up for.
  • Consent: You explicitly consent to data processing at registration.
  • Legitimate interest: Service security, fraud prevention, and analytics.

7. Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of all data we hold about you.
  • Rectification: Correct inaccurate personal data.
  • Erasure: Request deletion of your account and data.

8. Third-Party Processors

  • Microsoft Azure: Cloud hosting and data storage.
  • Stripe: Payment processing (we never store your card details).
  • LLM Providers: Document content is sent to AI providers for processing.

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS in transit, AES-256 at rest), secure authentication, and access controls. API keys are stored as one-way SHA-256 hashes.
